INVESTMENT DIRECTOR

Job location: Flexible

Job status: Full-time

Reports to: Managing Partner

 

Summary:

The Investment Director will be responsible for portfolio development and marketing to support Radicle Growth’s investments in early-stage ag and food technologies in an area of the market where very few early-stage VC funds exist.  This is an exciting time to join Radicle Growth as we just launched a $35 million second fund. Working alongside the Managing Partner and Investment Analyst, this candidate will ensure investment integrity and risk management standards are met.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead due diligence process for new investments
  • Direct investment analyst for market research needs and key investment trends
  • Act as portfolio manager and lead investment processes including due diligence
  • Educate and consult with internal colleagues, clients and consultants on markets and portfolios
  • Develop close relationships with Business Development & Relationship Management colleagues
  • Create and implement updated investment guidelines

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is likely to have:

  • Technical masters degree or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 12 years prior working experience, 8 of which should be in technology sector
  • 3-5 years prior venture investment experience required with established venture capital ecosystem relationships
  • Entrepreneurial or investment banking experience a plus

INVESTMENT MANAGER

Reports to: Managing Partner

 

Summary:

The Investment Manager will be responsible for investment information and financial advice to support Radicle Growth’s investments in early-stage ag and food technologies in an area of the market where very few early-stage VC funds exist.  This is an exciting time to join Radicle Growth as we just launched a $35 million second fund and are building out an investment team.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Works closely with Investment Analyst to assess financial information and investment opportunities, present them to clients and make decisions on them on behalf of clients
  • Uses complex financial models to project future earnings and profit potential and uses this data to inform decisions and proposals
  • Meets with an investment team, including analysts and other managers, to stay up-to-date about market situations and company decisions that may impact one another
  • Takes on high levels of responsibility on behalf of financial institutions, corporate clients and investment organizations
  • Develops relationships with clients and expands client network in professional and social settings
  • Is always up-to-date about the state of the US economy, global financial markets and financial products available to corporate and individual clients

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is likely to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting
  • Have minimum of 3+ year of relevant managerial experience working with a venture capital, startup/tech companies or in investing roles
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to articulate well-defended opinions
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
  • The ability to multitask constantly re-prioritize workload based on deadlines and changing priorities

INVESTMENT ANALYST

Job location: Flexible

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Investment Analyst to assist with all aspects of the investment process, including financial research and reporting on prospective investment avenues to support Radicle Growth’s investments in early-stage ag and food technologies (in an area of the market where very few early-stage VC funds exist).  This is an exciting time to join Radicle Growth as we just launched a $35 million second fund and are building out an investment team.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements, and various other indicators to determine suitable investment strategies
  • Review past investment decisions to inform sound future investments
  • Liaise with fund managers and network with industry professionals
  • Monitor financial press and keep on top of market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment products
  • Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios
  • Develop complex financial models and analyze legal documents

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is likely to have:

  • BS in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years investment and/or analytical experience or demonstrates proven working experience as an Investment Analyst
  • Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics
  • Demonstrated understanding of company valuation techniques, accounting concepts and basic financial modeling
  • Strong background with investment analysis software
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and numerical skills
  • Strong communicator and interpersonal skills

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job location: Flexible

Job status: Full-time

Reports to: Managing Partner

 

Summary:

The Operation’s Manager will manage all operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, and quality of all work. They will serve as the company representative on day to day business operations, investment portfolio management, investor relations, and department employees. Responsibilities may include scheduling, recruiting, interviewing, selection and hiring assistance; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; employee timeline management, and motivation.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
  • Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
  • Manage budgets and forecasts
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff
  • Find ways to increase the quality of customer service

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is likely to have:

  • Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
  • Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills
